FRENCH LICK, Ind. (DERBY CITY WEEKEND) - Right now, a movie filmed entirely in southern Indiana is now in theaters.

“So Cold The River” is a supernatural thriller film which was filmed 100 percent in and around the town of French Lick, Indiana, including the West Baden Springs Hotel.

The crew said it’s the highest-scale movie made in the state since “Rudy.”

The film is based on a novel by Michael Koryta, where a documentary filmmaker unearths unexplained mysteries while researching a dying millionaire in his hometown.

It features stars like Bethany Joy Lenz from “One Tree Hill” and “Dexter,” and Alysia Reiner from “Orange is the New Black.”
